First??
Is this the first contest to end in a tie with two people guessing the same exactly correct price? Sam Majors
|
Crazy and yes...

I was curious:
The mean guess was 8526.59, i.e., we had no ******* idea what this would sell for. The median guess was 7927.50, so we did a little better once you throw out the people who didn't read the instructions. And the mode was, of course, 6555.66. Which was pretty good ;). |
Hey...I read the instructions, I was just hoping that folks went Ruth crazy and the Cobb would win 2nd place with its $13,100 bid.
P.S. I didn't actually think that would happen. I thought the T207 common card might end up in 2nd place. Brian |
Yeah, this was just an exercise in game theory. Most likely happening (rather than picking any other auction end price) was that the Ruth price would stay the same. If it got bid to a different amount, I would change my initial bid.
