That's a nice piece.
I don't recognize it from anywhere, but now I'll be looking for it... Doug |

Baseball Magazine Cover Art
2 Attachment(s)
I've been really enjoying everyone's baseball magazine cover art, so decided to dabble in this myself and find a few items to frame for my home office. I picked up a few 19th century mags as a starting point on ebay.
-1891 Once A Week Magazine, with baseball scene captioned "Out on a Foul." -1892 The Graphic Chicago Magazine, with baseball scene captioned "Baseball on the Lakefront - Safe!" Would like to find a few more to compliment these then get them framed. |

I've always liked this issue of The New Yorker. The cover picture is titled "Treasures." If you look closely near the bottom, there's a Honus Wagner (next to the first Superman) and sitting on the Declaration of Independence.

Love the Saturday Evening Posts, great artwork!
Hopefully kids didn't use that first cover to perfect their bunting form :) Thanks for sharing, Doug! |

I picked both of these up in a deal I made today.
The Collier's is from July 27, 1912, the SF Call newspaper page is from June 1, 1913. Neither the seller nor myself realized they shared artwork until I was scanning the stuff later. Doug |
