Alright, here is what I have so far...

We have the photo in question below center, Steve Evans exemplar left, Ray Schalk exemplar right. Thinking that the the guy in the middle may be Schalk is as ludicrous as the Thorpe ID.

Ray Schalk just played the stateside tour...never went overseas with the tour.

Yeah you're right - sorry. I'm just jaded by years of similar discussions on this board.
Note that besides Thorpe, Mickey Doolin, Dick Egan, Larry Doyle, Fred Merkle and Ivy Wingo don't appear to be present. Also, there were at least 14 other men (non-players) on the tour. For many of them, exemplar photos are hard to come by. Thus there are quite a few possibilities for the guy you IDed as Thorpe. |
