These arrived today. The charm bracelet is in much better condition than it scanned. It is the first one I have seen. The 1971 NLCS proof tickets were a first for me as well. Its the small things in life that make it fun...at least on my budget.:D
|
Even I didn't bite on those proof tickets! :p
I did consider them, though. |

This was a total impulse buy. But I always wanted the stub for it to come with the professionally framed, matted, and autographed 42 x 28 lithograph at a similar price was irresistible.

I finally found one of my white whales. I'm sure there are others out there but in my 25 years collecting game used, this is the first Jerry Koosman bat I have seen. I wish it was a Mets bat (its from his Phillies days) but I'll take what I can get.

I got raffle fever and needed to pick up some artwork. This is the original artwork used for the Helmar Brewing Jiro Noguchi Hankyu cards.

Finally got something to post in April. I just received these three MLB All Star Game tickets - 1955, 1971, 1975. QUICK QUIZ - anyone know the connection between these three games?

I know 1955 was his first, 1975 was his last. He homered in 1971 (also 1972) and his first and last were also home games for him.

I've got quite a few Aaron HR stubs if you are looking to try and collect ALL of his HR tickets. I love collecting tickets. Its not as easy as cards obviously. I recently sold a bunch of Aaron full tickets to a collector so I have mostly stubs left.

Amazing signs! Wow! I picked up this huge scoreboard which I will be putting on the back of my garage...hopefully the neighbors won't mind. I also picked up a first edition SI magazine at the flea market yesterday.

Those lucky strike and tuxedo posters are beautiful. The scoreboard is such a cool item. I am trying to think what I would do with it. Basement wall or put up in back yard perhaps. Definitely needs illumination. Man thdtxwalter tuxedo is beautiful.

1913 Wags ticket
Just got this ticket. Honus Wagner's last two hits of 1913. Clinches .300 Batting Ave. for last time in his career. He went 0-3 the next day to drop his average to .300 and then didn't play in the final two games. I would imagine Fred Clarke sat him to keep that intact. Anyone else think that was the case??

First pickup of the month and my last. Photo is Jackie's first steal after walking in his first at bat in 1947 world series. Baseball mag Dec 1947 cover image is of next play in the game: Pee Wee hitting into fielder's choice, Jackie out at third. Mag not in great shape, but I love the consecutive plays story that unites them. Pee Wee advanced to 2b. Would love a pic of him scoring.
P.s. that Tides jersey is GREAT. http://s32.postimg.org/l5cg33lat/s_l1600_1.jpg Quote:
