Yeah

I guess they are master criminals, Luke-

Again, can't we all just simmer down and examine their business for ourselves, rather than leaping on some bandwagon/witchhunt?

Dave

It's me Dave, I've got the stuff...

Now I've gotta watch that movie again :) - and get myself a boxing avatar so I can get free shipping!

I'm not saying that. All I really think is that they made themselves look very unprofessional. They are probably nice people. But does this thread make me question their integrity and decision-making? Sure.

I had to re-read this thread for a few more laughs before I "simmer down" and go to bed.

Unless I'm missing something, the original poster never actually mentioned Wheatland in his post...

When I got home from my trip I received a phone call from Postal Connections. Apparently, this AH uses a 3rd party shipping company. I am ok with that.

It was the next poster, the first to respond in this thread, who mentioned Wheatland...

Sounds like you were dealing with Wheatland. They used Postal Connections for me as well.

...and from that point on, everybody has been assuming that Wheatland was the auction house Buythatcard dealt with.

One should never assume, because...

I agree. Additionally, Wheatland is directly associated with VSM Sports Card Outlet in Lancaster County, PA.

If they shill their Net54 account, I wonder what they might do with their auctions.

Best regards,

Eric

Well.....auction recently ended...Wheatland (yep)......used Postal Connections...(yep)......that's why I said that...but let's ask the OP....was the auction house in question Wheatland's?

And you still haven't answered the question. Is it because I am right?? It's OK...I'm allowed to be right once in awhile...the board does allow that.

Since I was falsely accused of cursing someone named Stacy and she never denied it, I have no problem saying that you were right!

It seems like a reasonable solution would be to disclose the shipping fees up front.

sb1 11-23-2015 05:07 PM

I won one lot(350 count, $100 worth of 1970's cards), we shall see what they want to ship it. Reasonably would be $8-10 which would cover all of the mailing plus insurance. I suspect it will be $20+ and I factored that into the bid AND passed on many other lots due to the unknown shipping.

Well...as long as they use a 3rd party shipper, expect it to be high. They seem to have nice stuff however.

Wheatland

Wheatland is good people

been to their store, very kind friendly people

sb1 11-23-2015 05:51 PM

Is anyone picking up in person?

I did see an option to pick up directly, is anyone on the board planning to do so? We could go together and pay one or two people to pick up and mail our stuff(it's already paid for, so the only variable is the postage and packaging and some compensation I would think.

lug-nut 11-23-2015 06:28 PM

You mean like a third-party shipper...?
