If I had that, I would be tempted to change my name to Paul Brock. Cool.

Congrats to everyone on their pickups this month, it's great to see everyone's little nugget of gold.

Don't get me wrong. I love mine too. I wasnt trying to take away from any of the cards. Im not big on condition prewar. To have one is to have one in my book. The thrill of the hunt is what keeps me going.

Howe’s Hunter 06-05-2015 12:25 PM

Super excited by this pick-up, especially card number 275

Several months ago, when Brian let me know that a couple of cards in a large lot of T206s had Howe's stamp on them and they would be in an upcoming REA auction, I was really hoping that I would be able to get my hands on these. Especially the McQuillan, as it is only the second example I've seen that uses Howe's first name, then his middle initial, then the title Agent, Saturday Evening Post. And just like the other, it is stamped in green ink, not the usual black/sorta purple on the other 273 I have, and the 31 I know exist but aren't mine.

I lucked out, and board member Brent was the winner of the lot, and worked with me to add these to the rest in the rebuilt collection.

<a href="http://s150.photobucket.com/user/T206ster/media/Flick-Joss-McQuillan_zps4hynm5cq.gif.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i150.photobucket.com/albums/s81/T206ster/Flick-Joss-McQuillan_zps4hynm5cq.gif" border="0" alt=" photo Flick-Joss-McQuillan_zps4hynm5cq.gif"/></a>

Again, thanks go to so many people on the board who have helped me with this project.

I'm not a grading guy, but one of my favorite Mantle cards was always the '52 Bowman. I just picked this one up. I would like to thank PSA for calling this a 7, and not the 8 that I think they should have called it.

ls7plus 06-10-2015 01:51 PM

Finally got my 1939 R303A Ted Williams, after just missing out on several!
(sorry, no scanner yet). Has great eye appeal, with no apparent creases, which is somewhat unusual for this fragile issue, but does have a slight tear on the lower left.

Best to all,

Larry

Signed T206 Reprint

Picked up my seventh T206 Livingston reprint, signed by Livingston. Can anyone tell me if they've ever seen a T206 reprint signed by another player?

Just picked this up. The little line underneath the word "Federal" is actually a tiny piece of plastic shaving - which I managed to shake out beyond the inner baffles. Disclaimer; this is not MY scan (I don't want to wake up in the morning facing a federal indictment due to the setting of my scanner...). :)

Joshchisox08 06-11-2015 04:08 AM

@ Herb very nice Smith !!! I don't collect CJ's but this is a card that I'd like to get.
