Reviving this thread, because I never got around to posting in it the first time. Most of my T and E cards are in toploaders, but some are in these 18-pocket pages that I got back around 1993 and filled up soon after. In the first one I made a nice display of T206 backs, though even at the time I think I had more backs that didn't fit in the display. On the left side I put the 150-350-460 versions of Piedmont, Sweet Caporal, and Sovereign, then on the right side I put the A-B-C brands (American Beauty, Broadleaf, Cycle), all of them 350 versions with borders, and below that six of the "Assorted"/"Assortment" brands. I probably didn't have a Carolina Brights yet at the time.

In the second picture are some of my T209 through T212s. This may have been all I had at the time I put together the page, though I now have more of all of them, especially T210s and T212s (of which I have more than 50 each).

I used to have a bunch of strip cards with that same writing/text(l.a. becker) on the back!

Pete -- Here is the front of that page, below. I had some E79 Prize Fighter Caramels in there, because I didn't have enough miscellaneous T-size baseball cards at the time. That wouldn't be a problem now.

Rob G. -- I'm pretty sure those 18-pocket pages are no longer made, and these have no manufacturer named on them. I got these around 1993 at AU Sports in Skokie, Illinois, which is still around but moved a few years ago to Niles.

I also have one of these 15-pocket pages made by Rotman, into which I put some of my Old Judges about 15 years ago, back when I only had 10 Old Judges (plus five Old Judge actresses). I love these pages because they allow much more room and are easier to load and unload than the Ultra-Pro 15-pocket pages, which are a tight fit for T cards and too narrow for a lot of E cards, such as E95s. (Actually, I also have my T59 Flags of All Nations set in these pages, because those cards are also too wide for the UltraPro pages.) I got this page at a card show in the 90s when I bought the last card in the page, but Rotman appears to have gone out of business years ago, and I've never been able to find more of these pages.

Wow... what a beautiful thread. Having just started the monster a few months ago (at 140 cards so far...), my binder looks bleak compared to these amazing photos!

David- how do you display/store all of your trade cards?

And I love cards in albums over cards in plastic cases any day. Kudos to the collectors who still do it raw!

Barry -- my trade cards are in albums, mostly in 4-pocket pages, with 2-pocket and 1-pocket pages for the bigger cards, and a few 6-pocket and 9-pocket pages for smaller cards. I think I have 17 albums now and counting, organized by product type (four albums of medicine, three of thread, two of soap, three of stoves, two of sewing machines, one of corsets and other clothing, two of shoes), plus numerous stacks of cards that still need to go into albums, probably at least a couple of albums' worth.

Almost ashamed to post this, but I guess everyone started at zero.
I've got more on the way to me, two from members here.

I had them in Card Savers, but I find I like binder pages better. I have my Monster binder that has Scot Reader's story and the back multiplier in it, and other T206 information.

I've learned a lot on the website in the last few months.

The more I look at raw cards, the more I like them. I might have to add some in the near future. I collect 99% graded, but I have a true appreciation for pre-war cards that have been obviously handled. It's interesting and fun to wonder who had these cards before us and how much they cherished them like we do

I know what you mean Mike. Every card I get, I find the story of the guy. I own the card of the guy who has the lowest batting average in history. Of players who have the AB's to qualify for the batting title, he has the lowest ever.

I now collect raw too - from trusted sources.

Jimmy -- I assume you're talking about Bill Bergen with the batting average. That card was also one of the early T206s in my collection. Bergen was considered one of the best defensive catchers of his day, as was his brother Marty, who tragically killed his wife and kids before committing suicide in 1900.

Yeah, Bergen. The best defensive catcher at the time. And yes, his brother was also a mlb catcher. He died in 1900.. ...yes, that was what I'm was talking about.

T206 in binders question: Will the cards fit in a Top Loader and then into the 15 count binder sheets or do the cards have to go in these sheets raw?

If you're talking about the UltraPro 15-pocket pages, there's no way a toploader would fit in those pockets, even the small T-card-sized toploaders. T206s are a tight fit in those pages as it is. But the T-size toploaders do fit nicely in standard 9-pocket pages, as I think somebody showed in this thread.

Yes I was wondering about the 15 pocket Ultra Pro. I like the appearance but with my limited number of cards I wanted to move them around as I bought new cards without damaging them further.
Looks like I may have to go the route of the 9-pocket as well.

This thread is over four years old. I look at it almost every week. To me, this is one of the greatest threads on Net54 of all time. Given all of the hang-wringing over TPGs these days, I wanted to bring it back. Look and enjoy.

Not JUST in a binder, but in teams, too - just like I woulda kept 'em as a kid!

Absolutely, Mike! I love this thread and others like it. For me, this is what collecting is all about. I have some raw T206 HOFers on the way, and I am pumped about it! I had about 60 Obaks all in a binder that I stupidly sold. So, I am anxious to get going this way again.
