At least I get why people might complain about slow delivery, though...

The thread I just don't get is the REA Catalog Thread which happens every single year. Why does each and every member need to announce the exact day his Catalogue arrived? Or lament that it hasn't come yet? I just don't see the point... it's not exactly riveting subject matter. And why is it only for REA, and none of the others?

This multi-hundred post REA thread is a yearly occurrence (always on the Card side) but seems like such a redundant waste of time. Who cares what date it arrived in Enid, Oklahoma

c'mon...don't you just love all the comments on the smell of the REA catalog too?????

i don't disdain these threads so much as those lauding milestone posts...wtf cares!!!! it doesn't take much to post a comment...no accomplishment there!

OK, I give in. Admittedly, I was having a bad day when I wrote that...

It IS a great day when those Catalogs arrive. Gotta admit I like it too, but probably am more into the mouth-watering images than the smell

If it makes anyone feel better, I still haven't received my lot from Heritage.

pennants

These are some of the pennants perez fan was talking about. Unfortunately, my catalog lost the other page some time ago. Taken from the Millenium Mastro catalog, Nov. 1999.

Thank you for that post ... those pennants are beautiful.

Let's talk more about that.

As an aside, my winnings arrived in a timely manner. For those who have not, I would contact Chris Ivy, which I think is completely reasonable given the delay.

Matty:
A genuine THANK YOU for finding that, and posting it. There was indeed a second page, but this covers half of the offering. Still the best grouping of oversized pennants I've ever seen featured in a single event. Say what you want about Mastro, but they were the "Kings" in terms of memorabilia offerings at the time (1999).

Greg:
There you go... the only known St. Louis Oversized Teens Pennant (and what a beauty!) Check out that hand-written price realized - which does not even include the BP. Sure wish a few of these would re-surface, but this stuff tends to get socked away in advanced collections for a very looooong time.

Thank you Rob!!!

Appreciate seeing that page after so many years. Now how about another auction like that one!

Gosh, have these ever dried up
