I disagree. I have made flips in less than a week for many factors more than the discussed sale on cards I thought I had paid too strong on.

Probably a flip that you low balled on..Since you are a "dealer"

That statement should help you obtain you some new inventory.

well 1952 topps is the First Topps Card of Jackie so a rookie in that sense..just like Mantle 'rookie' in Topps..

and centering of card was great.....overcomes 'print defects' in the bidders minds it appears....

it does look odd how on my pictures the borders are much less white than the pwcc auction....

On a readily available non rookie non Mantle/Ruth card in midgrade?

Could you find me a centered 52 Jackie, please?

Hi, the rules require if you are going to make opinionated posts that your first and last name are visible.

Thanks.

Also, the specific flip I am talking to is a 52 Mantle that was purchased from Mile High and sold 6 days later.

sean

i would take a High Number Rice print defect if centered....there are certain high number 1952 Topps where less than 10% of the population is decently centered..including the Jackie... especially in the psa 5 range..

Sean as you know very well, a 52 Mantle is a little different than a midgrade fifth year (yes, I know, first Topps) Jackie Robinson in terms of whether you might be able to hit it big with a quick flip. You're comparing apples and peanuts.

Yep. Their scans are less thermonuclear than they used to be, but still quite bright. It looks like there is a black dot on the card that doesn't show up in the PWCC scan also.

Nevermind. Going to dinner. Have a good evening, everyone.

I'd just like to say, Congratulations on the sale and glad to see you got top dollar.
As a collector who regularly sells my duplicate cards, I'm pleased whenever I see sales prices going up and record prices realized.
Lastly, I it disappoints me to see this site allowing member(s) to personally attack another member and nothing is done to stop/delete it. Hopefully it's just a case of the owner/moderator not seeing it.

I am with you Eric. I come to this site for fun. It gets old to see these flame wars. Begins to make me think about using my free time elsewhere.

Agreed...you see people on B/S/T. typically asking for a prices in which the net to them will never be realized on ebay...not in the jackie case...

In addition, if you notice in my posts i dont attack anyone, never understood what the point is to personally attack someone about about baseball cards. My posts are about discussing the aspects of the cards and you can see from many of my threads there are lots of responses. Arguments are fine but never understood what value there is for personal attacks.
