Rob,
I am sorry to hear about this diagnosis. My mother was a Type 1 Juvenile Diabetic and diagnosed at age 9. Unfortunately she did pass away form complications of Type 1 at the age of 49, however, there have been many advances to assist managing Type 1 and the future looks much brighter for those diagnosed today. If you need anyone to talk to about the journey ahead, feel free to contact me anytime. Thought I would post what I did to remember my mother's legacy when I used to work for the Cleveland Indians...this is a topic very close to me. Please let me know if I can do anything to help. http://cleveland.indians.mlb.com/new...=.jsp&c_id=cle Thanks, Hank |
My family will include her in our prayers. Take care of yourself as well. I know how frightening and frustrating it is as a father to feel so helpless when you have a sick child.
