Very happy to have found this one closer to my budget levels and added it this week!!!
This finally completes my T207 Cubs team set.
It took me just under ten years to get this far, but I have now completed Cubs team sets in:
T200
T201
T205
T206
T207
Obviously lifted the scan from the auction, but Mr. Miller is on his way!

JasonL 11-05-2013 04:47 PM

What's next?...

Well, I still have two more T-sets to go: T202 and T204
gonna take some time though...especially that T204!

Great cards guys! Tony love the T206 Walsh's I love the "bluish" back version, just a great contrast with the dark uniform. My contribution is one of my top 5 favorites from T206. Finally got my Matty, I just love this card!

Bwstew 11-05-2013 07:22 PM

Great addition so far! T206collector love the Schaefer!

congrats on your 10 year quest getting closer to completion!

you should definitely think about a Cubs E set....

tbob..cool color in that one!

JasonL 11-07-2013 10:02 AM

Thanks Scott,...

I want to tackle the T202 next, and I just don't know how likely the T204 really is, but the E-cards are certainly on the longer-term radar...are the costs comparable to the T-cards, or are there some real "scarcity traps" amongst the Cubs...

I'm open to suggestions if you or anyone else has fave Cubs E-cards that they recommend or would like to show...probably better for a separate thread, though.

Joe - I plan to research, but not sure of the team. With the photo being made by Columbia, Tn photographer, it may be a local middle tennesse team. (Columbia, Tn is South of Nashville by 50 minutes and North of Huntsville, Al. by 50 minutes)

There is some faint ink/pencil with date of 1902 on it, but not sure of that either. Let the research begin! (Also, I have not being able to discern the name in front of the date, 1902...)

Awesome pickup. I think the Tip Top is more aesthetically appealing than his T206. I love the manner in which those cards were printed.

Now go get a new scanner so that we can properly enjoy it. You can obviously afford it =)

Surprisingly, this looks better in hand than in the scans (apologies for typing those words outside the B/S/T). The ad back makes it easier for me to overlook the obvious flaws.

Mikehealer 11-09-2013 12:07 PM

Very nice Rob. I was a poor excuse for a bidder on it.

I decided literally in the last five minutes to do a "double snipe" (it looks like you did, too). That was the difference. Our four bids were really close.

Love to follow the pickup thread. You folks have amazing stuff.

When I show cards to family and friends, they aren't interested. It is nice to show someone so thanks for looking :)

Wow. That is the ultimate in self control. I would end up ripping every single one of those.

I think if I had that box, it would haunt me until I opened every pack…

Very cool!

Thanks Pete.
Usually this means an elderly long time collector in California has passed away and his collection of cards is being sold :-( The HRK are very, very tough to find.
