Thanks John!

Great Delahanty, Jay! I was going to bid on it, but instead I got the trigger finger in a bidding war for his Old Judge.

Jay, great Delahanty. Anyone know if someone on the board got the other one?

Powell 10-22-2013 08:58 PM

I bought the Ebbets model and hope to display it in a museum someday.

gorgeous Delahanty!!! aesthetically amazing!
congratulations!
all the best,
barry

oldjudge 10-22-2013 11:44 PM

Thanks again guys. There were two printings of the Mayos over a two year period. One printing resulted in more of a black/white image while the other was more brownish than black. The former, which this card is an example of, always have sharper images.

Nice pick-up. As I recall, your home almost qualifies as a museum already, with that wall of T206s. :D

Gentlemen, I am making a conscientious effort to wax a little less enthusiastically when it comes to these pick up threads. But let me say this. After spending many hours perusing the latest REA catalog, both the hard copy and the online one (with all my watch-listed cards), I am very happy to see so many of those beautiful pieces finding their way to some really great owners. In the coming weeks, I can only imagine the myriad of smiles that will be popping up all over the country when your winnings arrive. Congratulations to you all, and to REA for what looks to be another rousing success!

Now THAT was fast!!!

Auction ended Sunday morning.

I mailed my check from MA on Monday morning.

REA shipped my items Wednesday.

Fedex just showed up at my office building with a package for me.

Holy CRAP - now THAT is service!!!

Wow, congratulations! I own two Wolf models and was an underbidder on the Ebbets field model.

The two models are the highlight of my collection.

You will love the model.

I'm guessing you can thank Brian Dwyer for that. His customer service has always been a notch above the rest.

I will say Lee Behrens

Is just as good as B.D. I have had cases of check clearing on a Tuesday and package at home two days later. Lee rocks hard with the deliveries and at a fair price as well

I was glad to pick up the E90-2 Pirates team set.

I have the Wagner in a higher grade, but this is my personal all-time favorite Wagner card (love the rich blue background) and I've been wanting the team set anyway.

By the way - if the buyer of LOT # 1134 (Topps uncut sheet collection) is on the board and willing to sell the 1963 Bazooka All-Time Greats sheet from that lot, please contact me via PM or email. Thanks!

Rob D. 10-24-2013 02:43 PM

Brad,

A friend and I were talking just the other day about what a nice buy that was and how nice the Wagner looks. Congrats.

Beauty Michael.

Great pickups everyone.

oldjudge 10-25-2013 12:02 AM

Great card Michael! That is a miniature piece of art.

MVSNYC 10-25-2013 06:02 AM

Thanks guys! I got that 8 and a bunch of 7's...in hind-sight i wish i held off on the 7's and picked up more 8's, they went for cheap, IMO.

Great stuff, everyone.

E93 10-25-2013 06:32 PM

Michael,
That is a gorgeous T205!

Jay,
Nice Delahanty. I had my eye on that one too.

Great card Michael. I won the Evers and Donohue cards to add to my T205 collection. Wish I could have bought more.
