thanks Jason
do you have the Revelle t210? series 2 is the easiest of all the 210 series but Revelle is quite difficult |
Nice SL Hindu run Jim... I can certainly appreciate the difficulty for putting that together.
Jamie |
thanks Jamie
I didn't focus solely on it but it took 10 years to complete. Once I got to 25 it was really slow waiting for certain cards to show up and finally 3 board members worked trades with me to finish. My last card was Persons and was as gift from Craig Wright. I got a lot of help from Brian W and Mark F. at the end. Can't imagine trying to put that together today good luck. |
Wow. I just wish I was a heavy Broadleaf smoker back in 1911.

Have shown these before, so apologies for doing it again. It actually was kind of bittersweet when I completed the front/back combos of all three Lajoie poses, because it was really fun chasing them down. I'm not much into upgrading but was able to pick up a nicer batting pose with a Sovereign 350 back today.
|
Those Naps are so cool Rob. Never get tired of seeing them especially the brownie. Best pickup of the decade.
|
Jim - Nice Hindu SL run. I'm just over half done with mine. Let me know if you have any dupes you want to part with. :)
|
Its always amazing to see this lajoie back
|
This may not belong in this thread, but I do have a couple of T206's in here.

Mike= WOW....
Rob= OMG JIM R= DUDE, the Revelle BB and Brown OM are some of my favorite 206 PERIOD! |
fantastic Mike. Thank you so much for sharing. Its nice seeing the collecting efforts of the members here.
|
Mike,
Awesome Evers collection! Jim R. Love the Hindu Southern League run! JimB |
My minor contribution. Confirmed Drum back is out there - somewhere.....
Also have a P350 MC (no name), a random stamp back & a couple Topps T206 frames. When I first started the Downs run, I saw a list of 'possible' backs (OM, CB, PB etc). Wish I had picked a subject with more 'confirmed' backs. http://i732.photobucket.com/albums/w...206Downs02.jpg http://i732.photobucket.com/albums/w...206Downs04.jpg |
Love the Downs run Jon. Thanks for sharing.
|
Rob: The Lajoies are amazing. Do I have this right:there are no Lajoies with a Lenox back, but one was printed with a Brown Lenox? Has anyone ever explained why this would have occured?

I'll leave it to Tim to explain the possibilities of why we've seen a brown Lenox but not a black with this pose. I just collect 'em, I don't pretend to understand them. |

Derek
I didn't keep an exact record but it took between 10 and 12 years to find all 9 players with Broad Leaf.
Adkins, Cassidy and Dunn I have only seen the example I own. Dessau, Hall Poland and Jackson I have seen 2 or 3 examples each. Slagle and Strang I have seen 4 or 5 examples each. I am sure there are more out there but this was a real tough set to put together. |

Definately one of the best threads of the year so far  You all have amazing collections, and I thank you for displaying them for us to see.
Awesome front/back runs guys !!!!! Sincerely, Clayton P.S. Great to see some of you guys posting again !!!! ;):) |
T213-1 Frank Chance
Mr. Ted,
Be thinking of a card you would accept in trade for your T213-1 Frank Chance. |
Ted Breitenstein pitched a No-Hitter in his first Major League start. In St Louis on Oct 4, 1891 (vs. Louisville Colonels), Ted pitched a (near) Perfect game
for the St Louis Browns. Ted faced only 27 batters. He walked one, who was picked off at 1st base (or as the result of a Double Play). http://i603.photobucket.com/albums/t...inTchop50x.jpg .http://i603.photobucket.com/albums/t...nTchop50xb.jpg TED Z |
Hahaha! Nice Lundgrens!
I'm going to have to figure something out, and then tackle it. I'll have to peruse the master set checklist for the cubs - see what toughest back most of them are on - I know not all were printed on EPDG, so I might have to combine with something else. |
|
Here are a few players that I used to have. Never did finish the Meyers. A fun way to collect.

Claude Rossman
Rossman's Major League career ended Sept 3, 1909. This fact is most likely the reason as to why Rossman was printed with only 5 - T206 backs.
I sold the SWEET CAPORAL 350, factory #30 card of Rossman.
