This is my highest graded OJ. I bought this at least 20-25 years ago raw and I know I won't ever buy one in this condition again. Just can't find them looking like this. My other 30 or so OJ's are graded anywhere from authenticate to SGC50 vg/ex.

I do have a Brouthers graded PSA 7, but does not present as well as the Hanlon I am posting. When an OJ comes up for sale that I want I will try to buy it because they don't come up for sale that often.

If not for the small black dot on the bottom border, might have graded higher.

Can't seem to get a clear scan with my scanner on these graded cards.

I'm familiar with that piece, it was printed large-scale in the Worcester Telegram-Gazette prior to the season. I used to live a couple of blocks away from where Richmond pitched his perfect game.

The following year in college, I attempted to sketch a portrait of each player in the cabinet. I was working from a photocopy that was very grainy, so it was pretty subjective.

I only wound up managing to finish two of the players - Richmond and Irwin. Attention got diverted, you know how college is. Anyways, here's photos of my two drawings that I'd like to share.

Mine is an actual cabinet with an albumen photo, not a newspaper supplement.

Here is a good sabr article about Dave Orr...

Longevity should be considered by the committee, but should not be a requirement for the HOF. Would like to see Caruthers and Orr in the HOF, as well as many other pre WW1 players.

Also, nice high grade Hanlon and some impressive artwork by Cy. Lookout, sirraffles.

Yes, I've seen the Worcesters Cabinet from 1882 firsthand, so I know the type of cabinet you are talking about. They just took the same photos from your cabinet and published them in the newspaper.

Thanks Rob, I like the catching pose for Orr.

Smashing Hanlon! That one's a keeper for sure.
