Once I gave up on the E94 Cobb at 9pm, I switched over and tried to put a bid on the Kling but because the extended bidding had just started and there were no bids on the Kling, I was unable to place the bid. What was unusual about the no bids on the red Kling was that there were no Klings in the Swamp Find and this Kling is the highest graded, not just of a red Kling, but any Kling in general. Kling is also one of the tougher of the E98s so it is interesting that the Swap Find may have impacted the sale of the Kling with all those 8s and 9s of the other cards being found.
I relate this because there has been a great discussion of what impact the Swamp Find might have on future sales of E98s, particularly red ones, but all E98s in general. Perhaps we are finding out....

Wow, you'd think the buyer of the set in the Heritage auction would have been all over that. Maybe he didn't see it?

Yes, I didn't see it.

If you guys call Bill Goodwin, he might be able to still sell you that E98 Kling. I know that when I had a consignment with him, some of my lots did not receive bids. After the auction was over, a buyer made some offers for those items, which Bill passed onto me, and I agreed to. So, if you contact Bill, you may still be able to get that card (assuming the consignor still agrees to sell it).

There's been a lot of talk about the price of the W600 Mack. I assume it went to a board member who was putting together a complete set of W600 Hall of Famers. Last I heard, he had all of them except Mack.

If that is true, he still needs Mack.

You won it?

Maybe he already found another Mack. I don't think he would have passed up this one at 10K.

Negro league cards

Both of the Aguilitas cards (Torriente and Lloyd) did pretty well. Those cards were "high" grades for the issue (SGC 50), but the Lloyd had some paper loss on the photo and a fuzzy image and I think that the Torriente was cropped. Thus IMO the prices were around what I expected... I was out long before those cards finished.
