Bob, I was betting on you being a day behind me in Nashville with the delivery. Anywho, your Ozarks post reminded me of a splendid, but lengthy drive I made last fall from Nashville to Springfield, Mo. and I came through the Ozarks to get there.... Beautiful landscape and I bet there is much more that I didn't get to see... (My destination was Table Rock Lake)

Sorry Peter but I just do not understand why someone would bother to read a thread titled "REA Just Arrived" and post a comment like you did. It is not like I am a newbie. Have been around since the good old days of Peter C, the many Bruce's (Brucii) and the debate over paid ads on the board. The REA catalog is exciting to someone like me that does not have any card shop within 180 miles in any direction.

Not that big of a deal...I would bet this thread has been started every April for the last 5 or 6 years. It's no secret that Net54 gets excited over the REA auction. Peter evidently does not.

You are right Dan and I am probably over sensitive because I have not received my yearly fix of cardboard porn.

Hey Bob and Jeremy, I live in Springfield, MO (and get down to Table Rock Lake frequently)! And FWIW, my catalog arrived today! Actually, that IS worth something. :)

Frank, no I wasn't here then. I moved down here in 1998 and ain't moving anywhere soon!!! The weather is too beautiful!!! :D

The 836 sure hasn't changed though, and the Dadeland Mall is still great, although the sights get better every day, if you know what I mean :p

Ha. Seems mine WoULD have arrived today. Fed Ex called me and said they tried to deliver it, but didn't know where to put it so Id get it..:p. They were confused..They say I'll have it tomorrow. Looks like I got some reading material for the weekend:)

Due to the large volume of PM's, EM's and telegrams I have been receiving asking whether I have gotten my REA catalog yet, I refer you to Post #20, which states that it came safely to my doorstep on Mon.

Received it today, near San Francisco.

I just now realized reporting the receipt of the REA catalog is mandatory. I received mine yesterday at approxinately 12:30 PM PST here in Southern California.

Yes, it smells like ink and stuff.

I nevah get mines already.

Catalog arrived in beautiful downtown Burbank today. I had to stop reading after approximately 250 pages--just overloaded on prewar cards...

I still haven't got mine in Utah. Hopefully tomorrow.

I haven't really read this thread what's it about is there an auction or something going on can somebody fill me in....

Got mine a couple days ago, but just now (being a newcomer) realized the mandatory requirement for reporting it's receipt! :D

My auction catalog finally arrived today here in Utah. I think I win as biggest loser for last person to receive their catalog :confused:

Received mine today, Michigan, looking at all the items I can't afford:mad:

Nope - don't have mine yet, and last year received it on the Friday of the auction closing weekend. But I don't care, as I prefer the internet anyhow. I actually read the catalog more in the 11 months after the auction closes.

Got mine today in Nevada. Haven't seen anything I can afford in the first 3rd of the catalog, but it's fun to see what's out there......

I was kind of wondering if any of the Old Judges in the "Newly Discovered Find" are new to the Old Judge book published.

This is my first REA catalog. I have received catalogs in the past but today this heavy Fedex package came. WHAT???? This thing is huge! Woweee!!! I remember thumbing dreamily through the toy section of the Sears catalog as a boy in the mid 70's. I'm getting that old familiar feeling again!

The FedEx Zamboni just showed up with my REA catalog. Yay!

I consigned last year, but was hit with a 10% consignment fee. They realized good money for me, but the fee bit into it. This year, I didn't consign anything. I felt like I had to have a $50,000+ card to make it worthwhile, and I just don't have anything like that in my collection....

Wow, sooooo much bigger, heavier, and nicer than I expected. I imagine I'll spend a LOT of time just reading through it over the coming weeks. It's darn near a baseball card textbook.
