Smartasses! This sort of rank humor just makes it impossible for me to fully enjoy this site. Now I'm going to have to take a break for a few hours so that when I come back I can enjoy it again in the manner in which it was intended. So I offer myself condolences for this bleak interlude.

I knew I had this but couldn't find it until doing some cleaning up today: Hank Greenberg's personal, bound copy of the 1950 edition of Official Baseball Rules published by The Sporting News (RIP, for all practical purposes).

My condolences to the SN's friends and family.
