Wrong picture on card.

As most on this site know, Topps has had some problems getting the right picture on a player's card. Some mistakes are more understandable than others. Even Milt Bolling is amazed.
Ten more cards are needed to have a complete set autographed. I'll probably post that want list when I get a couple extra bucks. |

Those 1934 Goudeys are fantastic! Thanks for sharing. Ron |

I know these are exhibit reprints but the autos are not. I thought they fit in with the mini theme in this thread.

I love the Waner signed with the middle intitial "G". Usually you don't get the full name. Perhaps it was signed earlier in his career.

Just about six months since we've had a post here...

I would imagine that between the new members and some of our long-timers, there has gotta be some sweet signed cards out there just waiting to be posted.
So dig 'em up Gents and let's see what ya got! A little white lie by Topps? Perhaps, as this image was NOT from the 1961 series as claimed. It was clearly taken on the last day of the regular season. Roger had just gone yard for his 61st of the season to break the Bambino's record! Here is the signed card. And a 1961 vintage original TYPE I photograph featuring his record breaking feat. Not exactly vintage (1973 TCMA) but the player is and he doesn't get talked about much these days so I wanted to add him here...the late great Roger "Doc" Cramer.

This thread is insane. My collection consists over 750 vintage and modern Topps base cards of St Louis Cardinals players. Here are some of them. I show the Pujols only because this card is impossible to find signed. Only 2 are known, and I have one of them. I also have about 30 vintage Bowman Cardinals signed. I don't have any of Musial, though. I would love to have a rookie like HRBaker's - very nice.

Keeping the thread going...here's a couple of teammates. A 56 Harvey Kuenn and 59 Al Kaline. I think Kuenn was/is a very underrated player, however, he did have the dubious distinction of making the last out in two of Sandy Koufax's no-hitters.

I always wondered where that Bresnahan ended up. I'm curious if you know the history of its ownership.

signed Bresnahan....
I know nothing of the history of the signed Bresnahan. If you have some information I would love to hear it.
Thanks, Glen |
