Wow Luke, those E92s are incredible. Nice grades on some candy cards that are usually pretty worn out.

Really nice cards, Luke - congrats!

Cheers,

x2drich2000 04-03-2014 12:07 PM

Luke, very nice! Now can't you just stick to the Dockmans and Crofts and leave the Nadja alone? ;)

LKeeler 04-03-2014 12:11 PM

Thanks guys :) I'll keep that in mind DJ ;)

Thanks Buddy. The prices for a lot of caramel cards (and tobacco too) seems to have gone down in the last year so I figured now was a good time to start buying again. I now have all the "floating head" E99s and am working on the rest of the set.

Wow is this card nice. I picked this up at auction on eBay normally I try and stay away but figured what the hey lets give it a shot. So I snagged this beauty and to date my highest graded in my 34 Set. Very happy and excited to own this piece for my set. I am very close to completing my goal I set for myself for my 1934 Goudey Set (Finish half the set). Well thanks for looking

Great pickup Jesse! Very nice card, your Goudey collection is coming along QUITE nicely ;)

darkhorse9 04-03-2014 04:12 PM

I picked this up today for $35. The back is in great shape. No wrinkles, no writing, no paper loss.

Always great when you can pick up the second most expensive card in a set for that little.

I'm terrible at pictures, sorry. :o

kamikidEFFL 04-03-2014 04:39 PM

Thanks ya it sure is coming along. I'll be at my goal in no time if I keep this up. Then next up will be the Gehrig for my set.

MattyC 04-03-2014 05:00 PM

Is this an especially sweet month because of baseball season? Seriously gorgeous cards in this thread. That Goudey has some insanely vibrant color.

Sorry but I just hadda see 'em in the same post; my two (and final) April pickups in a group shot/post together-- do forgive the intrusion of a postwar card. I was able to get a real nice accurate scan done today. April 2014-- and likely all of 2014-- is now officially a wrap for this kid. No April Fool's ;)

Once again, awesome Mantle Matt. The colors, centering and image on that 4.5 are beautiful! Congrats!

MattyC 04-03-2014 05:14 PM

Thanks, Ty! Seeing the red and blue together just rocks. Now I'm just hoping the one card left that I really want doesn't come up for like five years.

Can we get a solo scan of the Joss card above? That color background is bursting; would love to see it better. Great looking card.

kamikidEFFL 04-03-2014 05:19 PM

Man a card like the Jackson n mantle man ur right some sweet cards so far into this month

Wow those floating heads are great! Didn't know there were e cards like that ...hmm may have to take a break from the t206s.

How many floating heads are in the e99 set? I don't really know anything about them.

ullmandds 04-04-2014 10:57 AM

Jeff l... I love your autographed baseball collection of non-baseball players! I often forget about it due to your other amazing cards especially your cob collection.

Paul - gorgeous Oms!!

I love that issue...Oms and Mendez are my favorites...those "floating heads" rival those of the "floating head" E99s

paul 04-04-2014 03:20 PM

Derek, I like the Nacionales cards too, and this is my first one. I wish I had a Mendez.

Pete, thanks. It's as fun collecting rare balls as it is the cards.

LKeeler 04-04-2014 04:04 PM

Yep DJ, it was I! Nice Nadjas you picked up, especially Mr. Young.

4815162342 04-04-2014 04:12 PM
