I can almost picture him sitting in the Bada Bing Bar when Tony comes rolling through to the back ( if this offends someone, deal with it. I loved that show)

In the 56 Series with Yanks up 3-2 in games the Dodgers sent Labine, normally a reliever up against Bob Turley in game 6. Labine won a 10 inning 1-0 shutout to even the series. But he was one upped by Larsen in game 7

Al...is there a variation or a reason you posted two Clem's? I'm trying hard to notice anything different...:)

My scans do not show it well but one has a red line at the bottom. Not a biggie, but Bob definitely needs it in PSA 8 :)

Johnny was sort of a Yogi wanabe. Some examples:
-Rome was not built in a day -I will perish this trophy forever -I would like the pie a la mode, but with ice cream too -Stan Musial is one of the all time greats, he is immoral -I remember the name but can not replace the face |

Bob had a decent if not spectacular career but after his playing days when the Cubs were losing as usual in the late 50s and early 60s they decided the problem was that one manager was just not enough. So they briefly went to manager by committee and Bob was one of the committee members in 1961. But the Cubs still played like the Cubs and that experiment was quickly eliminated

Had to look that up Al, and I would have to say your absolutely correct. :)
He also threw the last pitch for the Philly A's before they moved...a very random meaningless trivia answer! https://i.ibb.co/HNYmBxJ/54-124-Marion.jpg |
