Not a memorable ballplayer but as noted in his bio a veteran of WW 2 who spent 2 years as a German POW before getting his brief shot in the majors after an escape and rescue near the end of the war

Little catch up again...my Spahn is a little rough. Picked it up in a bargain bin at a local card show last year and said...hey, filler...and...it's still in the binder...:)
