Rob hit the nail on the head. Clearly different font and “aged” fabric. Others may disagree and I’m not afraid to be wrong. I have been surprised before by what people have convinced themselves is authentic.

I have at least 60 pennants that are not appearing on your spreadsheet. I don't have time to upload/post them all here. But if you can PM me your email address, I can shoot the images over to you. Once I am able get into my bins, there may be another 60. But that's for a later day... Thanks, Mark |
I'd like to peek into Mark's bins.

Gary,
I took a look at your catalog. Nice work. My tech skills are non existent, but that must have taken a long time to put together. Like Mark, I have a number of pennants I could try to photo for you. I just don’t know the easiest way to get the photos to you. Very nice work putting that together. |

One of my favorites from my collection. Does anyone know the best way to handle these when shipping to an auction house? I am thinking about consigning some of my better ones but most are matted and framed and under glass. This one and a few generic pennants I'll keep for the game room. My dilemma, for lack of a better word, is it seems I am the only one that appreciates the pennants and the little ones feel restricted in an area they want to be able to play in. Is it a game room (a place to have fun) or Dad's baseball museum (no ball playing allowed!).

I would not ship them framed. The glass could break, and it would cost a fortune to ship. I would remove them from the frames and ship them one of two ways.... 1. Flat, within a plastic sleeve and sandwiched between rigid cardboard 2. Loosely curved around the inner perimeter of a large box with peanuts or bubble wrap in the center for support. I would not roll them too tightly, as the painted graphics can crack if bent too severely. Hope this helps and best of luck! |
I may be repeating myself, but Al Lopez wants his train back ...

I'd much rather pay $100 for the Giants than $524.64 plus $25 shipping for this one... https://ebay.us/qS2s1M |

There are many other examples, but don't want to risk offending any pennant sellers who might dwell here. ;) |

Edit: And I don't mind saying it because he blocked me for pointing that out (in reference to the Colts pennant) about 5 years ago. |

Here's one you don't see every day. You have to love a pennant that's offensive to multiple demographics simultaneously (allegedly). ;)

If Gary's email has a data storage limit, it has just been exceeded. Pics sent, and it felt like more than double the 60 that I guessed at earlier. Gary, please just confirm they came through ok... Thanks |

182 Dodgers 157 Giants 69 Cubs 69 Tigers 50 Yankees 37 Reds 37 Indians 34 World Series 29 All-Star Game 26 Phillies The new catalog is available here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1zDM...ew?usp=sharing We're now at 999 entries. 47% have manufacturer identified. I really need insight into the relative rarity of the pennants though. If you have insight about it, please let me know. This is the rarity scale that I'm using at the moment (though I'm open to suggestions):

Thanks to a bunch of contributions in the last 24 hours, I have another version available here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1MI0...ew?usp=sharing
The total number of pennants in the catalog is 994 (a few dupes were removed). 63% have the manufacturer identified. 35% of the pennants have scarcity identified. Please let me know if I've missed anything or made any errors. |

Cubs Oversized Teens Pennant # CHC8073TBC definitely needs to be "10" in scarcity (not "8"). Thanks |
I hope this link works ... I have twelve 1969 Mets pennants. There may be more. All of these are made of cloth. Top six are Trench, five are ASCO and the last (with the weird orange crown covering "Eastern Division") is that unknown NY company.
I think I may have seen a couple of knock-off types on stiff felt. If there are others on cloth, let me know ... https://photos.app.goo.gl/8PdfuzDH8f98ZTgw8 EDIT: I guess logically there must be at least one more, the last one without the crown .... |

This one arrived today. This is the less common left-handed batter pennant for the Giants, and I've never seen it unpainted. The hat and socks are usually painted bright pink, and sometimes the face and arms are painted too (skin color). This one is cloth and otherwise pristine (no fading to the cloth), which makes me think it might just be uncolored (other than his shoes).

Though I’m still sticking pretty much to baseball I do want to “complete a set” of Trench AFLs with the league trademark in nice condition. Still looking for the elusive Titans. But I’m jazzed to have picked this up, it has retained its colors and is nearly mint. Though if PSA ever started slabbing pennants it would get docked for the crooked spine .... interestingly their ASGs normally would get 25-40K fans but this game had the second lowest attendance at just under 19.

BTW, I got that crappy 1936 NY Giants pennant but it’s been traveling around Rochester NY for the past four days. Arrive, depart, arrive, depart, etc.

Yes...He's got one in the most appropriate color for the stinking Niners...BROWN. :D In all seriousness...This one really is beautiful and while it was hard to say good bye, it does feel good to know you're putting it where it belongs. Enjoy! |
