I think this is pretty rare. Haven't seen too many of them let alone the full deck (minus the Jokers), and this one is from the company that made the ruth monument statue for the park.

It's just a notation about the former owner. Rick Kendall for many years was atop the Master Mays set leaderboard (until he sold off his collection in 2018 or 2019). He got PSA to note that these pieces were from his collection, which he dubbed the "Mays Fan Club Collection".

Turns out that I have basically the same card with the same ownership provenance on the label, just without the 7-Up notation.

Awesome. The 7-Up version is definitely not easy to find, in my experience.

Hi Ken, hope all is going well for you. What can I trade you for your 1-of-1 Leader Theatre card of Peck, which would make a nice companion card for my similar Leader Theatre of Sam Rice? :D

In honor of 1 of 1 day, I am bumping this thread. Some incredible cards.

benge610 01-01-2025 01:58 PM

A little "curve ball" here.
This is the only, American Beauty back of Leever's T205; that I could find, that is known; using PSA and SGC POP reports' images; excluding Set Registries of course.
There may be some Raw ones out there but I don't know about them, lol.

Cool!

My wife would be taking that card away from me; the, bottom-left corner would be in my mouth, determining if it was choco flavor in the stain; she would be unaware of my in depth research.
lol

I think these two are probably the rarest (though not the most popular).

A truly dedicated collector always inserts vintage cards into his/her mouth, and has an overwhelming preference for non-slabbed cards just for that reason.

I assume in each of these Vintage Baseball Card Tic Tac packs there are multiple flavors, such as tobacco, caramel, bubble gum, etc.

Yes, but 'Disappointment' will always remain the best selling flavor.
And remember, all flavors are 100% WAR-FREE!!!!

And my Bud Grant:

While I have well over 60% of the set in similar condition, I still badly need the Jackie Parker and Sam Etcheverry cards though!

:(

Love seeing all the GREAT cards shown!

At first glance this looks like the quite common 1967 Topps pinup insert. It differs in a number of ways - 1) It is printed on sticker stock (similar to 67 Pirates/Red Sox stickers and 68 Action all star stickers) 2) there is no number 3) The image is much crisper than on the pin-ups. It has been examined by many experts - a consensus of opinion is it was a 1 off prototype done by Topps - not even making it to a testing phase. To date it is the only example of any player I have ever seen.

Howard, you didn't think that maybe you could have added :

4) it is signed

The mystery 'W515-2' style card at top is mine, the 'Made in Germany' designated strip of five is owned by a fellow Net54 member, and the individual W515-2 strip cards are shown to identify that W515-2 artwork/image size was utilized to create this rare German issue.

Very cool, I've never seen this before. I wonder if there is a Ruth out there from this set. :)

Here's two 1/1 Jennings (on the SGC pop report there is also an "A" Jennings; this is the same card):

Incredible stuff out there!!! OMG that red sox ruth m101-6...incredible!!!! I think in my current collection my most rare cards reside in my miller run...these t216/d303 blank backs are 2 of 2 and i have both. my t216 VE miller is also likely 1/2.

Hi Glen, because of the five card strip I know that...five cards exist from this set. It would be cool if others (like Mr. Ruth) were to surface.

The John Tiedeman T4 Obak Cabinet was trimmed to the oval, whereas the Claude Berry T4 Obak Cabinet is complete. The Joseph Laughlin H801-7 Old Mill Cabinet is one of my favorite items.

I also have some "color freaks" which would qualify as rare. They include a Otto Miller B18, a E92 Harry Bemis, and a E102 Red Kleinow.
