Kewl card Ted - Thanks for sharing!
Has there ever been a blank back Lundgren Chicago found? Best regards and happy collecting :) Craig |
Erick,
Your SGC 40 set will be fun to watch. Those darn half grades from SGC will make it tougher but don't quit. It will be quite a set. |
-2, now at 84. Thanks Frank-
Sincerely, Clayton |

I acquired my EPDG Lundgren (Cubs) card from Barry Sloate back in 1984. I have tracked Lundgren cards ever since then. In 28 years, I have never seen a blank-back Lundgren (Cubs). TED Z |
Last update of 2012 puts me at 73.

New member to the Monster # List
Hi Frank,
I'm at 120 for now. Thanks for running this post, great stuff as usual!! Steve. |
Just started and at 7. My first project is an e98 set, so I tend to work harder there. We will see where this goes. :)
|
2012 will always be my 'monster' year. 2013 will be spent upgrading.
|
Frank,
I'm at 278 now. Thanks for updating. Scot (sreader3) |
Looks like I'll end the year at 272, thanks to many who have helped me build from three cards at the start of 2012. Peace be with you all

Bring my monster number to 130 |
Another two swipes at the Monster. my new number is 238.9
I picked up.... Bill Lattimore SC350 Shad Barry (Milwaukee) Polar Bear When I joined the Board back in late June 2012, my first Monster Number thread post was for 104. That makes for a gain of 136 cards to reach the 238.9, a good portion of which were scored from Board members here on the BST or through Board members over on the 'bay. I would like to thank all of you for making the last six months as fantastic as they were regarding my quest to beat the Monster. To any member that I haven't transacted with as of yet, "Fear not, It's only a matter of time".:D:) |
518. Below is the last card I picked up for my set. (Technically, it was part of a group of four, but I wouldn't have bought this particular Merkle if I wasn't able to buy the other three cards in the lot to finish.)

Just started the monster right before Christmas with the strange task of going alphabetically only. I'm at Ames now as my next need, so I have the first 6 cards in the set plus a couple others....so the monster # is at a whopping 8. :)
|
"alphabetically"?? Good luck when you reach Co***...!

Well I broke the Monster into 3 sub-sets: Southern Leaguers, Hall of Famers, Commons. With the addition of Paige last week, I have completed the Southern Leaguers (finally!). I'm at 442/524. 42 Commons and 40 Hall of Famers to go....
