It's a big piece of cardboard, but not quite a "card"

Like Leon I have over 100 "favorites". My Weavers, My Rose cards, etc., etc. So I cannot pick just one and instead will show one of my Top 5 favorites:

Currently, it's this card because I am in the middle of reading his biography and I am becoming quite a fan of his.

I've got some nice cards. Real hard to pick a favorite. For the sake of this thread this newest addition to the collection (which arrived in a mere 17 days after my check was cashed all the way from Tustin, California to Honolulu, Hawaii by outrigger canoe, awesome effort guys, but I digress . .) shall be the reigning current fave. To see a scan is one thing; to hold it in hand is to be amazed. It's clean as a whistle. Against a light the thin card is translucent without an iota of caramel. No flaws to interfere with the appreciation of the graceful moment of that decent gentleman initiating the trajectory of serious heat, bringing the noise, as it were, to some unfortunate batsman in 1914. "The nicest card ever created of all cards created in the history of card creation?" Maybe yes, maybe no, but damn glad it's here looking back at me all the same.

Edited to ponder: Have I been reading too many Mastro descriptions? Yeah, probably.

An uncatalogued Honus Wagner from some type of 1910 Pirates set commemorating the 1909 World Champions, handcut off some type of box or package it appears. I have 10 other Pirates that were all part of the original group.

my favorite hasn't changed for a couple of years (and I've posted it too many times since acquiring it).

But my second favorite... or my favorite of more recent pickups has to be my Bowman Robinson.

Red, White and Blue
Jackie Robinson rookie portrait
(thats right Jeff / I said rookie).

To me, it doesn't get much better than this...

Dennis that Cobb T3 is awesome! Not many cards make me sit up and say wow!. The nicest prewar set with the a very fine example. If it was in my collection it would be my favorite too. Congrads.

In Rememberance of James W. Brennan Sr. 1924-1982. Dad, thanks for everything you did for me.
