I was fortunate enough to view a collection of cards in the spring and the guy had a complete set. It was unreal. So at least one set has been assembled. That feat would be impossible to do today.

Nice card Leon!

I think Don Steinbach had a set of T208's that were sold as a complete set by Mastro many years ago. I suppose that set was broken up?

It's probably been 4-5 years since I have seen one at public auction (don't hold my feet to the fire that's what I think I remember)....I got mine from a Lipset auction....I have only seen about 3-4 for sale in my scant 10 yrs in the hobby....I know JC has one, great one Bruce has here...and I am sure there are some other lurkers or board members that have them but don't care to show them....One of the toughest T cards for sure...though I know one that's about 50x scarcer....I would swag a guess at 50-100 T208's in the hobby....just a guess though....regards

In my entire career in the hobby I've handled exactly zero T208's.

Jay Behren had six T208s including five Hall of Famers. Not sure if JAy mentioned that before.

I just checked my records and discovered that I got my T208 from David Bryan (ebay) in January of 2001.

There is a trend whenever certain cards are discussed on this forum they magically start appearing on eBay.

Have a feeling it won't be happening with these....

Here's mine. It's got some flaws, but that kept it cheap. Won it for a whopping $400+ in the early days of Ebay.

I was curious Bruce, as I'm sure others are what kind of deal you got yours in that good of condition for back in 2001. Obviously you don't have to say...but rest assured you'd make some money off it today.

Maybe we should all start referring to our collections in the third person, designate them with our last name to give even more importance to us, er me

About 5 yrs ago they were going for 2k-3k each...they would be worth multiples of that today....

I know of one complete set. Not sure if it's the same person that was mentioned earlier. I've also heard rumors of a second complete set, but haven't had it verified by anyone. I also know of at least 2 others that are couple of cards short of the set.

That makes for around 70 cards among those 4 people and one of them has several duplicates to trade for cards they need to complete their set.
