Default Another mystery card from Ft. Washington

Apparently the only other known cards from this set were auctioned in the last Mastro auction. (Correct me if I'm wrong, maybe everybody has them )

There's an apparently similar set called "Becker Theatres" listed in the 2005 SCD book, but no picture so I can't verify if they are the same photos with different backs.

Anybody have any of these, or know anything about 'em?

Tim

I picked up the one's in Mastro. Also, there is a similar, blank backed set, too....Although the blank backed set does look to be a little bit different paper stock....

Lew L. had a set a while ago or wrote about said set in his old newsletter because we've had the set catalogued for quite in a while in our Beckett Almanac of Cards and Collectibles.

Is Lefty Grove is this set or the set with the blank-back?

I wasn't sure if the card I got from you was in the same group of blank-backed cards you referred to above. Thanks for clearing this up for me.

BTW, nice pick-up, Tim! That's a nice looking card.

Brad- I just re-read my response and it was confusing....sorry about that..the blank backed ones are the ones I had before....and you got Grove..

I'm curious as to what the tiny print at bottom right says, if you'd care to post it.

I wonder if the card was a ticket for the free baseball - heck of a prize.
