I was comparing two cards a 1916 M101-4 of # 37 Joe Connolly with a Standard Biscuit Company listed on the back and the other card is a 1916 M101-5 # 28 Frank Chance with a 60X microscope. The Frank Chance card had a wide gap between the black line and the border and the Joe Connolly card had no wide gap at all between the black line and the border. The most interesting thing I found is looking at both cards together under the 60X microscope the paper stock is of the same type a tarnish looking color like brass is the best I can describe with signs of purple in both cards. The fibers in the paper stock of both cards are a perfect match. I was always to believe that all wide gaps 1916 M101 were counterfeit. What gives with this?

When the lines have a uniform thickness, and there is a large gap between the lines and the picture, then the cards are counterfeit. Period.

PSA hedged their description probably because the same card had previously been slabbed by them (image below). The 2nd time they got it, they reversed their opinion.

Tom has developed an enormous conspiracy theory involving PSA, Joe Orlando, and several of the regular readers here over this card, which was deemed a fake by everyone who commented on it. He didn't like the opinions here the first time around, so he's come back for more.

Bill; if you would only take a little time to study the two cards you will be able to see the different. There is no doubt in my mind and many others expert's that has seen this picture of the PSA certified card in comparison to the card PSA returned to me. PSA was just too eager to settle in the beginning in others word name my price. I told them a price on a Tuesday and I back out on a Thursday that is when Orlando, and Lopez went crazy on the telephone. No one in his or her right mind would get that upset out of a person changing his or her mind. but they all did from the CEO to the bottom. I truly believe PSA knows something that you and this forum does not know about the original card that was submitted.

but Tom - IF they are different cards, it doesn't matter - both images depict a REPRINT.

Scott, but it does matter the only thing I care about is my card. I do not care if it is a reprint or not what is mine is mine. My story is just like the Just So card it was his to do what ever he desired and most everone agreed on this forum, so why is my card any different?

you lose. It's basically a case of bad genetics, and there's nothing you can do about it.

I could sit here and try to explain to you why PSA has absolutely no reason to replace one 5 cent reprint with another one...which means it never happened...or I could explain to you why, even if "THEY" really are out to get you, you should not care...but none of this will have any effect on you.

...but I'm bored (the football game doesn't start for another 20 minutes) and this whole thing reminds me, for some odd reason, of a guy I met about 15 years ago...I hadn't thought about him in many years, so thanks Tom!

The guy I'm referring to was super-intelligent. My best friend had run into him by the pool and told me I absolutely had to meet him, so we went over one day and I coaxed him into telling me about a "computer" he was building...entirely from cut up magazine pages. Need I say more? I will pause for a while, just in case other board members would like to chime in to say "Scott, that's not odd at all - I built one as well...."

Tom-

It's the same card, but if you want to continue to claim otherwise, go right ahead. Just don't do it here.

I can't decide what I find funnier: when you accuse people who disagree with you of working for Joe Orlando or when you "subpoena" them by email to help you with your "case".

Bill

I think Tom should build a computer out of magazine scraps and use it to store all information related to the case.

Tom, seriously - if you are interested I can send you the "blue-print". It involves a lot of intuition and the ability to be able to detect computer chips hidden in newsprint, but I think you can do it - "They" want to talk with you and "they" have provided everything you need (and only YOU will be able to find it.)

Scott, said it does not really matter I lose. You know that is a strange thing that Scott, said because I heard those exact words by PSA. Little do you are they know and it does matter to me and to me alone. Bill, Thank You for allowing this post to stand as long as it has. I did not expect it to last, but just a few minutes. Thank You and may the very best to you!

Is it just me, or is Tom (and for that matter everyone else) writing in code? Somebody please email me off line and explain this little conspiracy to me - inquiring minds would like to know.

Can someone translate? Never mind.

The only thing that I know is the flip returned with the first photo, "? AUTHTCT", stands for Questionable Authenticity.

I agree with Bill, both pictures are the same card and both are reprints. Oh, and you can ask Joe Orlando, I do not work for PSA, he will absolutely vouch for that.
