If I had a Cobb and a Wagner T-206 card, I'd lump them together in a one-day auction as well. This is obviously a trustworthy auction. I'm setting my snipe as we speak.

what's going to happen if these reprints don't sell for as much as this seller hopes they will and his buddy "Frank" comes to collect the money he's owed!

Beyond the plethora of other evidence, a bit of logic:

1) Who would put a $US six figure card in a 10 cent semi-flexible top loader, the card angled so the edges might get dinged? No one.

2) Is this card real? The seller has it in a 10 cent semi-flexible top loader with the card angled so the edges might get dinged, so it is not real.

Logic test #2

The seller says: "I've seen these sell for hundres."

1) Are there people in the world that don't know that the T206 Wagner is worth, say, $70,000 to $1+ million? Sure, lots.

2) Would someone who owns baseball card top loaders, knows how to use them and who has followed past sales of the T206 Wagner be one of these people ignorant to the card's high value? No.

I said this story once before, but it's worth repeating. A lovely Danish woman was looking at some of my memorabilia. What fascinated her the most was not any card or photo, but the little top loaders. She said she had never seen anything like those before and thought them ingenius.

If you put a baseball card top loader on public display, 98+ percent of the people won't know exactly what it was. An avid baseball card collector walking by would say, "That's a top loader."

The guy who left those two negs is the same guy who for the past month has been trying to sell reprints as real cards and trying to get buyers to send money to an escrow account in which the odds are you'll never see your money again. How fitting that the scammer got scammed!

I think I saw this guy selling "rolexes" on a street corner in NYC.

You gotta love that he negs a guy for selling him fake Cobbs, when he's doing the exact same thing. He either takes fraud and hypocrisy on E-Bay to a new level or is just a world-class moron. Maybe both.

If people are that ignorant, then let them spend their money. The idiot that left negative feedback for this seller is more stupid than the seller by far. To think that he would get a REAL Cobb or any other card for that price is by far one of the dumbest things I have ever seen. As in most industries, the stupid shall be punished, and this proves my point. If anyone out there would like to offer me REAL Cobb's or any other vintage in that condition for $50, then bring it on!!! I will buy them ALL!!! For some reason, people feel compelled to feel sorry for this dupe... nope, not this guy.
