Default Mark T from Mastro

I saw this ad come in and just wanted to post without comment: Look at the final line.

"Collect Auctions and Goodwin Auctions will be represented at the Houston Tri-Star Collectors Show at the NRG Arena in Houston from February 8-10. Beckett's auction division employees can be found at the Beckett (BGS and BAS) booth during the show to gather consignments and answer questions. We're looking for vintage baseball cards (sets and singles); graded singles and sets; vintage unopened wax, cello and rack packs and boxes; high-end modern RCs, autographs and game-used singles; sports autographs; historical, presidential and entertainment autographs; Star Co. basketball cards; game-used items; Babe Ruth items; tobacco cards; trophies and rings; programs; tickets; memorabilia and more. We are also available to pick up collections at your home or the show. Call us at 888-463-3063 or e-mail jgalleske@beckett.com and mtheotikos@beckett.com to schedule an appointment."

Regards
Rich

I had thought Heritage was hiring him, but perhaps that didn't work out.

It's been a while since all of that crud occurred. Do we know if anyone that was convicted and served time for their involvement in the Mastro and Legendary shill bidding scheme have been hired by any auction houses?

Aren't Mastro and Allen barred from conducting business in this hobby again as part of the sentencing? What about the other smaller fish like MT? If sentencing included the stipulation of no hobby business involvement after their sentences are served, then did that only apply to Mastro and Allen?

Doesn't this outrage anyone else? I didn't personally know any of the people convicted. Deep down I would venture to guess they may be very decent people that just let greed get the better of them. HOWEVER, I would think that any auction house that hires people convicted of those specific crimes is making a bad move. It's like telling the collecting public that they don't care about the past transgressions against the hobbyist.
