Default 1939 Baseball Centennial Patch ID

Hello Everyone at Net 54. I am new to this site so bear with me. I live in Reading Pa and found this patch at a yard sale. The lady’s dad (deceased) was born in the 1920s and there were WW2 Navy patches with this one so the time frame looks good. Do you think it is an original 1939 Centennial patch or did they put out souvenir patches in 1939 like this? My research indicated this was the rare "DiMaggio" version that Spalding made and only 2 teams (Athletics being one) actually wore this as opposed to the more common one that is seen. Any thoughts let me know. Thanks for helping Buenningone 1.jpg
