Default Happy Birthday Wally (Kaname) Yonamine

Born on June 24, 1925 in Maui Hawaii
He was the first Japanese American to play football for the San Fran 49er's
also the first American to play professional baseball in Japan after WWII, and was elected to the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame.
The first card is his 1951 rookie card from the Osato Gangu box set, the 2nd card a 1952 Yamakatsu Bromide with its opened pack from a Taba

Thank you very much for sharing. Those are very cool cards. When I went to Maui earlier this year, I read about Wally at the airport. Very interesting career.

I have the Rob Fitts book a very good read and the Wally Yonamine Rookie card I got on EBay on Feb 26, 2017 from Prestige Collectibles. Rob Fitts is the one that bought my attention to Wally Yonamine
