Default Recourse for a deal gone bad

Hey All,

Looking for some suggestions here. Bought an item paid via paypal F and F. Item arrives and is clearly fake. As per original agreement seller agrees to give full refund. I sent the item back insured and still have the receipt. I do not however have the refund as the dude hasn't paid me back. Am I just SOL at this point? Apologies if this is the wrong forum for this.

PayPal has your back. File a dispute and upload your receipts / submit tracking information. File your grievance as "item not as described" or whatever the phrasing it.

Can you file with Paypal if you sent the payment "Friends or family"?

I don't think so. That service is specifically for people you trust as friends or family. I never pay that way.

Did you pay with your Credit Card through Paypal? If so, dispute with your Credit Card Company. If through your bank account, go through your bank. If it used "Paypal" balance, you may be SOL.

If he paid F&F I would hope they do not have his back. He did not pay for that service.

If it was on this forum put their name out. It usually gets a much faster and better response. Best of luck in getting your $ back.

If it was on this forum or another for that matter, please add their name/user name. That is valuable information for the rest of the community to know.

With so many new faces here, I pick and choose the folks I buy from very carefully.
