i just don't understand why anyone would want that many of them...

like what are you going to do with all of them? and how long do you think it would take you to sell them?

Johnny V uses them as wallpaper in his living room.

sell them for $.50 each and quadruple your money. it may take 10 years, but most sellers I see don't seem to be in any particular rush.

"years" to sell, would be the time frame of many of the BIN listings being sold. And hey, if you get them slabbed as reprints you could sell them as authentic fakes!!

Hide them in pages of old books at the library....

An uncut sheet would be kind of neat

Submit all of them at once for grading, if only one of them makes it through and gets a grade, you are set for life.

Their error rate must be more than one in nine thousand, so they're bound to think at least one is real.

This would not only quadruple your money, but also keep the post office solvent.

Come to think of it, buying 9000 "Forever" stamps would essentially devour your profit.

I'll pass.

The grading fees would be astronomical.

I read the descrption of these cards and as "fakes" go these are very legit. Reading the whole description tells me these were the cards prepared as pormotional items for the Wagner promotion when the card was being handled by Kenny Goldin (IIRC). This was the promo for the contest of an average person winning the wagner. And I think the winner was actually annouced live on the Larry King show l

Kenny, if I am right or incorrect or my memory is hazy, please come on the board and remind me and fix any incorrect statements I made at 5 AM. I know we're making fun of these cards but they WERE licensed by the Wagner estate as per the note through CMG and thus have more legitimacy as a "collectible"/

Regards
Rich

I actually have five (5) of them, so I only need 8,995 to complete my back run.

Default Thank you Frank

for posting that card. Yes, that is a licensed card by the Wagner Estate and as I said, as "reprints" go is very legit.

They would be perfect for my fireplace. Burns better than wood.

Go for it Frank, you can have Chris line them all up in one PhotoShop image.

One offer and no sale. I guess reprints aren't all the rage they used to be? Maybe if they were found in grandpa's attic they would have more allure?

Default Bad news

In the wrong hands, these would be testing grounds for professionally aging processes...surely they could age one enough to fool someone somewhere for some real money...
