Default 1932 ? US Caramel

I just noticed something odd about US Caramel card dated 1932.
The back of Babe's card shows him as 39 years old.
Since The Bambino was born in 1895, either that text is wrong or the card is really a 1934 issue...
Now the only US caramel card I own is Tony Lazzeri whose math adds up...born 1903 and the card text shows Ol Poosh 'em Up as 29 years old.

Are there variations of the Babe claiming his age was37 on the back?

Default US Caramel question2

Thanks for the link Peter, I should reword my question.

Asking are all the cards the same, or is there a 32 and a 33 version?

Lazzeri turned 29 on Dec 6, 1932
Ruth turned 39 on Feb 6, 1934

I guess they were rounding up on Babe if the cards came out mid 1933.

If they were issued in 1932 as originally thought, they would have likely needed to round up to point out that Tony was going to be 29 that year. Logical enough I suppose.

I've seen plenty of front images of this set, but not many back scans...out of pure curiousity, who can show some backs and help with more math?

Default August 2005

Here you go.... A net54 post going way back to August of 2005 on the same subject.... I believe that the price guides changed the year from 1932 to 1933 based on this post.
