Default T206 and T205 master lists

I can't seem to find my Excel files that had all the t206 and t205 backs for every player. Can someone pass me a file at jimivintage@yahoo.com?

I'm thinking about picking a player from each set and collecting all the backs from that player. I'd like to pick a player that has a bunch of the backs, so the list will, of course, be handy.

Also, while on topic, feel free to share what you are collecting with your t206 or t205 player backs, or other similar projects. I seem to recall someone having all the red Cobb backs.

Hi Jimi,

Link to my T206 Master spreadsheet is in my signature below. It's a Google spreadsheet, but can be downloaded as Excel.

Best Regards and Happy Collecting
Craig

Default T205's

Moran, Wolter, M Brown, Hoblitzell(not recommended), Huggins, Shean, Bridwell, Corridon, Phelps, Lobert, Payne, Austin, and Becker.

Just a few I have off the top of my head if this helps.

Default Few Select Back Sets in Progress

I have a few back sets in progress.
T205--
Chance (have 9 of ?9 back variations)
M. Brown (have 5 of ?10 back variations, will never own the Drum)
Matty (have 5 of ?9 back variations, will never own the Cycle 1 Loss)

T206--
Chance Yellow Port (have 13 back variations) as well as T213-2
Lajoie Throwing (have 5 back variations)
Marquard Follow Through (have 5 back variations) as well as T213-2 and T215-2

I might recommend commons for back runs, as HOF's tend to be pricey.

Jimi,

Here is a little data for the T206 set.

Depending on your definition of "player" ...

Here are the Top 10 "players" (a player and multiple fronts) with the most Front/Back combinations:

1) Hal Chase ... 85
2) Ty Cobb ... 61
3) Joe Tinker ... 52
4) Frank Chance ... 51
5) John McGraw ... 49
6) Christy Mathewson ... 48
7) Vic Willis ... 47
8) Cy Seymour ... 45
T9) Joe Lake ... 44
T9) Orval Overall ... 44
T9) Hooks Wiltse ... 44

If your "player" is just 1 card front, then one of the Super Prints has a possibility of 25 different backs. The Super Prints are:

1) Chance, Frank (Portrait - Yellow)
2) Chase, Hal (Portrait - Blue)
3) Chase, Hal (Black Cap)
4) Cobb, Ty (Portrait - Red)
5) Evers, Johnny (Chicago On Shirt - Yellow Sky)
6) Mathewson, Christy (Dark Cap)

Chance and Matty end at the AB greens. I own a chace AB and cycle(very tough to find) and the Matty AB I can't even imagine when it will show up. I have never seen a scan of one. The drum brown in low condition is feasible.

Default Nice!

Terrific stuff, guys! Now I just need to pick a player.

Anyone have a T205 back/front combo sheet somewhere? Plenty of people offered t206s.

On a similar note, does anyone have an idea for a 'do-able' T206 subset--one that doesn't have any single card that would go for over ~$1k?

Sweet Caporal 150 No.649
34 Cards
7 Hall of Famers
All can easily be purchased for well under $1K.
Some cards may require a little patience, but they all show up.

Default Chase

Love the idea of doing a Chase super subset. He's not too expensive (well, until I get to the hard backs) and his cards look great.

Default T205 HOF Database

Andrew,
Thanks for the info regarding the Chance, Matty and Brown T205's.

Jimi,
I have an Excel database for T205 front/back combos that I made several years ago with the help of several people, many of them from net54. The problem is I only compiled HOF player data, so it is limited. I would be happy to send you the info I do have.

You can send me a pm with your email.

Dave
