Twice signed Honus book in HA auction
I don't know if anyone has any comments on these signatures. Book sold for $1673 in May 2012 auction.
A friend reminded me that we had looked at these back in 1997. PSA/DNA and Jim Spence. As always, I can't even recognize my own signature, but I am interested in hearing what others think. http://sports.ha.com/c/item.zx?saleNo=7051&lotNo=81982

Max, I would guess both are legit.
The second one looks fine, and the inscription above the first one looks typical of his messy writing at that time. His signature could vary a lot, and it looks like a labored effort to be neat, which makes sense when signing a book.
