Default Abdulla Jones went pretty strong

I thought last night's eBay auction for the Abdulla Jones went pretty strong, no?

It is great to see. (maybe a little strengthening in the hobby?)

I love the card.....
It looks very, very nice for the grade.
Probably one of the nicest Bobby Jones card designs (IMO) -
but my one personal drawback is that the card is 1932 (after retirement).

I didn't see it going that high..... but it did.

Congrats to the winner on a great pickup

wow....that is approximately 4x more than the Ruth from that set goes for. Must be a rare and in demand card..

Yes, there was a lot of bidding at the end. I was expecting it to sell between $1000 and $1500, but I guess I was a little off.

Jason - thats right where my guesstimation was too.

Leon - it is a beauty of a card - and one that doesn't show itself too often. There is demand for the card for sure.

I had an $800 snipe on the card which never went off - I guess I underestimated this one by a bunch. Great card!

Yeah it is rare and you have to remember that unlike Ruth cards, that are much more prevalent in American Issues, The only real Jones American Issue is the American Caramel.

This is a rare card and one that does not come up for grabs very often.
