Default Jimmie Foxx Postcards...what exactly are these?

Guys.........I have these two nearly identical Jimmie Foxx postcards from RDM Studio in Chicago. While I can obviously tell they're postcards from this studio, are they from a specific set? I'm guessing other players were printed. I find these two postcards interesting because the images are just slightly different in relation to the point of his swing. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

Very interesting items, Matt. Sorry, I've never seen them before so I can't help you.

I've not seen them before either, but they are very cool. Where did you happen to find them?

Very nice.
They sure look like Burke photos.

A quick google search shows that "RDM Studio" was George Burke's studio...I guess I should have known that, but I've not seen that stamp before.

Default I found these at....

I picked these up about 5 years ago at an estate auction in mid-Michigan. There were not any other postcards offered in that sale. I have always wondered how they were distributed, their history, why the same player would have a slightly different image, if there were 'others', etc. Thanks for the initial responses.

Well, I'm not sure I've seen a Burke postcard before...he used to do photos on postcard sized paper, but with a blank back. Jim Rowe in the 1960s distributed thousands upon thousands of Burke's images on Kodak postcards. Yours are AZO backs dating from 1927 to 1940 which is a really good thing.

I currently have these two post-card sized RDM-stamped Burkes. They are the only two I've seen - never one with the actual postcard back. Both are of Tony Lupien ('43 Red Sox, '44 Phillies). My guess is that, when ordering, the players could have chosen the postcard back.
