Default Ken Burns' "Baseball"

I've been re-watching this documentary for the 1st time since it aired way back on PBS...and it has been a joy!

2 moments were really great....Buck O'Neill about Paige striking out Josh Gibson and Satch and Buck visiting Drum Island.

Other was Curt Flood discussing his minor league experience when the clubhouse man took a stick with a nail on it to remove his uniform from all the white players uniforms. You could still see the hurt in Curt's eyes.

I watched it when it first came out, and I never forgot that Curt Flood story.

I still enjoy the series after a few watches - in fact, I think I'm due for another viewing soon.

I found the complete DVD set in a resale shop of this series and find more interesting things every time I watch it.

I've heard that Burns has a new addition to the series coming out this year, called "The 10th Inning." It reviews baseball from where the original one left off, covering 1995 to the present. I assume PBS will show it.

'The Tenth Inning', two-part, four-hour documentary airs on Tuesday, September 28 and Wednesday, September 29 on PBS.

In-depth interview w/ Ken Burns at Baseball Prospectus. Definitely worth checking out:
