Default Forgive my laziness....W555 question

Posted By: Mike Williams

I haven't taken the time to reseach players/teams in this issue yet (other than the images are cropped "E" card images), but....has anyone been able to prove the W555 issue was indeed issued in 1907? I know we had a level headed debate some time ago as to this issue being the Cobb RC but I don't remember how we came to this conclusion. Enlighten me please....thanks!

Mike,

I don't think that anyone has done the research on W555's to verify the exact year(s) of distribution, but as a group, I believe that we were in agreement that the E102 set is from 1910 rather than 1908.

Andy....I do remember the E102 date change (thanks for the reminder) but to see SCD, SGC etc. deem W555's as 1907 makes me wonder how they came to that conclusion. I'm not agreeing/disagreeing with the date, just curious how that date was established. Sounds like I have some research to do....hope all is well with you and the family!
