Default What's Hot and What's Not

We haven't done one of these in a while. What sets/cards are selling for high prices and what are the bargains lately?

Seems to me like T206's are still really strong, especially the more uncommon backs. T210's have really cooled off compared to a year ago. Early E cards have been pretty cheap but not always easy to find. What else?

33 goudeys are probably the best buys....1911 sporting life's are a close second.

Postcards, T206's, scarce T207's and any obscure Ruth or Cobb cards seem to be hot. On the cooler side most of the early E cards and at the very bottom might be the baking cards. They used to do well, nowadays if you want to flip them you really better buy them right!!

Glad to hear some t207s and Sporting Lifes doing well. Much-underrated cards for beauty (well, if you cherry pick, but that's true for other series, too). May Fan Craze will go on upswing for same reason...

I think you left out CJ 1914 in the "hot" category.

T3s are definitely NOT hot. Everyone talks about how beautiful they are, but nobody wants to buy them. Not sure why.

I think it's because they are still expensive. A low to mid grade common will still cost $200-400. Therefore, if you wanted to try to collect the set, you'd need very deep pockets. Collectors find it more worthwhile to try a more popular set like T206 and perhaps just pick up a T3 for their type collection instead.

Default Hot/Cold

Ruth & Jackson are always hot. Postcards & Type 1 photos seem to be on the upswing. E & D cards have been soft for awhile. D304 Wagner's are selling currently for a fraction of where they went a few yrs ago.
