Default Fan Craze wackiness tonight

I'm far from an expert on this so maybe someone can explain. The third major Fan Craze auction at Ebay in past two weeks and prices were about what you'd expect for most cards. But a few commons soared out of sight and I wonder if this is just a registry thing or what. I mean Willtse $394 for a PSA 8 (normally less than half that), Seymour 796 for a 9 (when HOFers got 560), Maloney 786 for a 9, etc.

Definitely a Registry thing, I'd say. One thing you can be sure of with a game set like this...there are no production scarcities...

Not sure what that means, "No production scarcities."

I mean that there were no short-prints...the cards were issued as a full set. Each one would be printed exactly as many times as every other one.

With Fan Craze yes but not so with all game card type sets. Polo Grounds sets had 4 Wags and multiples of some other players too.
