Default Factory 42 overprint

What does this distinction mean for a T206?

Circa late 1910-early 1911....American Lithographic modified their printed SWEET CAPORAL Factory #30 N.Y. 350/460 series cards and 460-only series
cards to Factory #42 N.C. (North Carolina) in order to comply with ATC's divestiture. These modified cards were shipped to the North Carolina plant to
be inserted in SWEET CAP packs.

Shown here is an offset scroll which depicts this process. There are 109 cards with this Factory #42 overprint.

Thanks for the info, guys. I am looking at purchasing one and was wondering what it meant. They don't carry any premium do they?

Default Hi Curt

Some dealers attach a premium to these overprint cards, others do not. So, I suggest that you shop around for them.

Ted

Is there any significant value or rarity difference between the 350/460 and the straight 460 prints?

Thank you gentlemen for both the question and answer. I was wondering about this myself. Now I need to look at my T206's to see if I have any.

My first was my Red Portrait Cobb and ever since I got it I have been absolutely fascinated with the #42 OverPrints. It and Sovereign 350s are the first things I look for.
