Default 1914 Pritchard Publishing Stamps

Posted By: Patrick McMenemy

I have had this Chief Meyers Pritchard Publishing Stamp for many years. The dealer I bought it from at the old pre-1976 show in Albany, NY had others including Matty and Fred Snodgrass.

Just how rare are these stamps? Do other board member have any in their collections?

I have also seen the Yale baseball team stamps that were also created by Pritchard Publishing.

Here is a scan of the Meyers Pritchard Publishing stamp:

Neat stamp....and very scarce....I have probably only seen about a dozen or less of these in my short collecting career. This is another issue that isn't valued relative to it's scarcity, imo. I still need one for my collection but it's not catalogued with an ACC number so hasn't been high on the priority list. I think they are neater than the much more common Helmar stamps....regards

At one time, I had all 3 of Chief Meyers stamps. In addition to the much larger Pritchard stamp, I also have had the helmar and Piedmont Art Stamp.
