Default Carl Mitze check list, looking for affirmation

Hi,

I'm looking to identify all cards that Carl Mitze (Mitz) appeared on. I know of the following, and am trying to see if this is a complete list. Does anyone know if I am missing any? I have either seen him on, or there is a graded example in the pop. reports from the following:

D310; D311; 1910 Obak type 2; 1911 Obak type 3; T217; 1913 Oakland Oaks Team Issue; Zeenuts: 1911, 1912, 1913, 1916, 1917, 1919, 1921, 1922

So, have I got them all, or do any of you know of another card I can add to my check list? Thanks for any help.

Ugh! I was hoping he wasn't in the T4s. That will be the toughest/most expensive if I do a run. Thanks! Any others anyone knows of?

Default Carl Mitze 1910 Obak

Hi Ed,

I originally thought Mitze was in both the 150 and 175 subject series but I was thinking of the LaLonge T212 1910 Obak.

Good luck!

Patrick

I want to add that a Mitze Zeenut run is one of my favorite because he is on all the early issues uninterrupted, there are very few people that can claim that. His toughest Zeenut cards will be the 1915 and 1923 Sepia (normally 1918 is a tough year but most Oakland guys are not too hard relative to the rest of the set). The 1923 one is a really tough variation (as you can see from my scans they simply redated his 1922 most likely due to not having the regular B/W only 1923 cards ready for the start of the Zeenut season in 1923-- they only made a single 24 card run in 1923 that look like the older 1922 cards, they are all San Francisco and Oakland guys). Hope this helps.

Thanks, Patrick. How hard are these? Those are new to me.

Rhett, Very cool. Most of these Z's I have seen come available now and then, but not the 1911 or 1918. Where they that tough? The Obak cabinet is the one I fear will be the hardest, though I am not sure about those pins, I never really paid attention to the pins. Mitze just has some cool images on his cards, and I already have some of the other tough ones. I think it would make a cool run, all put together.

Default PCL pins

The pins do come up on occasion.

Here are links to two large lots:

Finding a specific player will require a lot of patience and money.
