Default Joe L. Brown R.I.P.

I don't believe there has been a thread on this, but Joe L. Brown, GM for the 1960 and 1971 Pirates passed away on the 16th. He put together or helped put together some great Pirate teams. Here is his sig on a George Hendricks contract, a team signed 1960 WS program and a 1971 team signed reunion bat.

Wasn't he an avid collector as well?
If memory serves, I remember reading in a hobby publication years ago
that he had an impressive Press Pin collection among other things.

Jay, I think you're correct. I seem to remember hearing or reading that Barry Halper had traded some memorabilia with him.

Mike,
RIP Joe Brown.

BTW, George Witt (one of the members of the 1960 Pirates team) was our varsity baseball coach at Tustin Union High School in Orange County, CA during the early-mid 1970's. He also taught science.
