I'm thinking about making Hugh Johnson an offer on his collection of 3900 20th century cards. I hope it's still available. What do people feel is a fair price?

According to pricing I am seeing, with someone looking for N167's and offering the outrageous price .60 each....I would say about $150 should do it .

Just to play it safe, I'm going to go with $175. It puts me in a more competitive position.

Default another great issue!

Thanks again, Leon, for sharing this great piece of our history.
Every issue I look forward to following Wirt Gammon's want list and prices offered. It's interesting to see that his wants in most cases are very advanced for the era.
Among my favorite sets of a "different nature' are the Duke's Talk of The Diamond and the (T203?) Baseball comics. As for player sets, I have long admired, sought and never owned the T204 Firesides. I often wonder when collectors realized just how scarce they were and I wonder if Jefferson Burdick placed them at a noticeable T204 because they were from his home area!

Great material and again, thanks for providing these. I spend countless hours on net54 and I've read The Card Bulletin's many times over!

Thanks,
Bill Hedin
