Default Kessler Football display update.

Posted By: Ejm1

I was able to win the Kessler display for $130. Myself and another bid back and forth. If not for this one other guy I could have had it for $10.It's pretty dusty, should it be cleaned or left as is? Any advice how to care for it? I also picked up this program for $12.00. Thanks.

You got a nice buy on the Kessler display, even despite the other bidder. I would just dust it off as best you can and then keep it as dust-free as possible.

This would mean in a curio cabinet, or at least somehow covered.

The dust on the cardboard portions should be wiped off with a soft cloth. If there is dust/grime packed into the corners and small crevases, you can use a Q-Tip to clean it out. Don't use any liquid cleaner.

With regard to the dust and grime that may have built up on the helmets over the years (it is especially evident on the white Cardinals and Colts Helmets), you could use a cleaning agent like Windex, Fantastik or 409.

But be ultra-careful NOT to let any of the liquid touch the paper-adhered stickers (which are the helmet logos and stripes). This part will require a very steady hand and lots of patience (but will be worth it in the end).

Congrats on a nice pickup!
