Default Autographed baseball valuation help?

Hi,

Although I know this isn't the exact correct forum, I believe this is the most visited portion of the forum, and I would appreciate some assistance from you given your knowledge. I was offered two autographed baseballs for purchase : a 1952 Dodgers ball and a 1955 Yankees ball. I would plan to have them authenticated, though the provenance is excellent. I searched online for similar items, though the prices are all over the place. Any thoughts on how to get a sense of a fair price? I haven't seen them in person yet, so I don't know exact condition. Thanks!

If there is a regularly used forum for autographs that gets seen every day, why would you choose to put it in the wrong section? Weird.
And by not putting any pictures in as to which players are on/off the balls, and whether or not they are clear and authentic or run together and are fakes, I'm not sure how much help we can give you. I'll ask Leon to move your post to the correct section.

Wasn't trying to create a sense of lawlessness here...was just looking for some help, and I explained why I had posted it here. But please ignore this, and I will repost elsewhere.

Actually it does matter and things get moved to the correct forum very frequently. Mainly pre war baseball card threads, or related topics, should go here.

And to the OP, the best way to do this would have been to post in the correct section, then after a few days if no one answered, PM me or another moderator and tell us you tried the correct forum and would it be ok to put it on the main one? If others don't like that idea it's no big deal. If too many off topics were going at one time then the PM might be responded to by asking to hold off for a day or two. But then again, everyone does what they want to... until someone falls and gets their eye poked out.
